About the Role

You will guide students through postgraduate courses that blend practical instruction with contemporary publishing research. As a committed and engaging educator with tertiary-level teaching experience, you'll not only instruct students but also engage in academic research that enriches your teaching and contributes to the ever-evolving field of Publishing Studies.

Your responsibilities will include:

Coordinate subjects, deliver lectures and seminars, innovate curriculum, and develop technology-based teaching and assessment programs.
A commitment to scholarly activities that support teaching, including the potential to produce publications like peer-reviewed journal articles, books, or commissioned reports.
Demonstrated engagement in service, leadership, and coordination roles within the discipline, School, and Faculty, while adhering to University policies and procedural requirements.
Who We Are Looking For

You will demonstrate collaborative leadership and service to foster trust among colleagues, creating an inclusive learning environment for a diverse student cohort. With your insight and adaptability to make the most of technology-based teaching and new curriculum design, this is an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact in publishing and editing education.

You will also have:

A postgraduate degree in contemporary publishing and editing or a related discipline
Demonstrated industry experience and expertise in commissioning, copyediting, and structural editing.
Clear excellence in teaching, including syllabus/curriculum design and subject/module coordination, with the capacity to supervise postgraduate theses.
An emerging record of pedagogical and/or academic research that informs and enhances teaching practice.

This position requires the incumbent to hold a current and valid Working with Children Check to ensure the University provides a safe environment for everyone.
