Our Brisbane Real Estate Management Services (REMS) team is seeking a proactive and adaptable Property Accountant to join the team and work alongside market leading property management professionals based on site with one of key clients. This role is an integral part of the function, providing the property managers accounting support and management of the REMS trust accounts.
Other key responsibilities include -
- Prepare month end financials and reporting for properties, ensuring timely delivery of reports to property managers, owners and Trust accounting function as required, including accruals, prepayments and analysing variances.
- Reconcile trust bank accounts.
- Prepare balance sheet reconciliations, investigating and resolving issues, reconciling financial data to ensure accurate with timely reporting to clients and management.
- Prepare amortization journal and schedule for lease incentives.
- Prepare IFRS Straight-lining Report, investigating and resolving issues.
- Action take on balance for new management.
- Assist property managers to prepare outgoings reconciliations and annual budgets.
- Work closely with AP and AR team to ensure processing is accurate and assist with queries.
- Handle queries from property managers and owners.
- Identify areas for process improvement.
- Provide input to the ongoing development of key internal and external systems such as MRI and processes to improve overall efficiency and productivity.
