About the OpportunityAs Sales Manager, reporting to the General Manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving growth and expanding our client's market presence in the water treatment and engineering solutions industry across West Australia, Northern Territory and South Australia. As a collaborative leader and seasoned sales professional who appreciates the significance of strong relationships and transparent communication you will: Lead an established sales team Be trusted and respected: working closely with the General Manager who puts their trust in you and respects your expertise. Provide input for the development/adjustment of the regional sales plan Define an account plan (including objectives, forecasts, and budgets) Initiate and maintain relations with existing and potential customers through regular visits. Monitor developments and performance and act as business partner for assigned accounts Proactively analyse what drives customers' business results and monitor market developments Develop new customer relationships and realise new business opportunities Compile tenders alongside a professional multi-disciplined team Establish and track service and product performance Travel throughout NT, SA & WA frequently. About YouTo be successful in this role, you will have: A technical background, ideally degree educated or equivalent Experience of sales to the agriculture sector, or mining sector Strong business acumen and experience of managing P&L/Budgets Proven experience in leading a high-performing sales team Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Ability to build and foster relationships with strong negotiation and influencing skills Access to a local network of clients Experience with MS Office 365 Willingness to be home based with frequent travel A desire for further advancement in your career Your success in this role will be measured by: Meeting and exceeding sales targets, retaining existing business, and expanding the client base.
