The Opportunity
The Finance Business Partner role is based out of our head office in Burnie. You will partner with site operations and management teams to drive business improvements.
In this role, you will provide financial insights and analysis to support strategic decision-making within the organisation.

In this role, you will:
• Assist with the distribution and development of the annual life of mine budget and forecasting requirements to our site-based teams
• Take ownership of a wide range of accounting challenges and drive business improvements
• Partner with site teams and management to validate proposed projects and investments to maximise business value
• Utilise your financial analysis and modelling skills to identify and communicate trends, risk and insights to management and support informed decision making
• Work collaboratively with key decision-makers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement
• Assist with the monitoring of cost performance on major projects
• Commercial analysis and identification of cost reduction opportunities/strategies
• Assist with the development of building and analysing cost reports within business intelligence tools
• Assisting with management of the business’s capital portfolio including developing business cases, project implementation, cost tracking and emission tracking and reporting.

You will have:
• Tertiary qualifications in Business, Economics, or Finance/Accounting
• Financial acumen along with excellent analytical skills
• 3 – 5 years professional experience in accounting/finance-related role
• CPA/CA or associated professional association (or working towards)
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to translate data into actionable insights
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite programs, including advanced user of Microsoft Excel
• Experience with PowerBI will be advantageous
• Current full manual driver’s license
