About Brisbane Youth Education and Training Centre (BYETC):BYETC is a Department of Education school operating within the Brisbane Youth Detention Centre at Wacol. This multi-campus school caters to male and female students from across the state who are either on remand or have been sentenced for criminal offences. The school plays an important role in the community by providing young people in detention with the opportunity to gain knowledge, skills, and values that can enhance their capacity to pursue positive choices in the future.Our Campuses: Brisbane Youth Education and Training Centre West Moreton Education and Training Centre (WMETC) Vocational Training Queensland (VTQ) Caboolture Watchhouse Education Support Hub (CWESH) BYETC students have diverse learning needs, and a significant majority have had disrupted or negative schooling experiences. We seek to address this by supporting students to close individual learning gaps and attain vocational skills leading to qualifications.The position will be based at our parent campus in Wacol, the Brisbane Youth Education and Training Centre. About the Role: As the Data Management and Analysis Consultant, you will have responsibility for (but not limited to) the following: Lead the data analysis from databases and systems within the school to ensure efficient and effective data management. Administer, maintain and enhance data-related systems and databases to ensure quality, integrity, accuracy of collated data. Provide advice and assistance to senior managers to ensure data security and accessibility. Liaise with various school leaders to resolve issues pertaining to data including identifying anomalies and developing solutions. Prepare statistical reports and visualisations showcasing student and faculty performance. Conduct data integrity audits between OneSchool, the school's student data system and other local databases and formulate tools to ensure reports generated are reliable and consistent across systems. Desirable criteria: Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Data Sciences or a related field. Proven experience in data management, data analysis, and performance reporting. Advanced proficiency in data collection and analysis technologies with experience in one or more of the following: PHP, Java, SQL, or Python. Strong collaborative and communication skills.
