What you will be doing:
- This position is responsible for all maintenance issues within the Hotel to deliver an excellent guest experience while performing daily checks, repairing equipment, and coordinating projects.
- Assist the Maintenance Manager with projects including repairs and replacement of plant and equipment including refrigeration, plumbing, water treatment, electrical and life safety systems.
- Manage contractor work requests, inductions and follow up on all work assigned.
- Assignment of daily tasks to engineering staff, to meet workload and business needs
- Implement systems to manage risk and environmental impact effectively.
- Train and develop members of the Engineering team.
- Prioritize job requests, assign tasks to team and follow up on completed jobs as required.
- Ensuring overall adherence to fire safety policies of Hot Works permits, Tag Out system, Material Safety Data Program, Confined Space program, CFC control program, Work Permit program.
