The opportunity This is an exciting opportunity for a driven and ambitious individual with prior experience in a general Procurement role or a Financial/Commercial Analyst role looking to develop further within Procurement. This is a pivotal role as you will be owning and leading the activities to source, manipulate and interpret complex spend and data sets, supporting Category Managers with driving recommendations and decision making within the organisation. Reporting directly to the Category Manager of Professional Services, Key accountabilities for the role includes; Production of visually attractive and informative reports to support Category Managers with their various Procurement activities Collaborate with Indirect Procurement Category Managers to design, construct and maintain clear, accurate and detailed analytical spend reports and dashboards Support the Indirect Procurement team with the identification of category improvement opportunities and provide data insight to drive cost savings Support Category Managers with the preparation, interpretation, analysis and presentation of reports, pricing sheets and RFx (tender) proposal submissions as required Own and lead the discovery, collation, interpretation, and representation of complex spend and data sets to support Category Managers with driving recommendations and decision making Monitor trends in the marketplace and the business, analysing external and internal data to deliver insights to the Indirect Procurement team Support with the maintenance of key performance analytics to monitor procurement activities, ensuring and collaborating within the Indirect Procurement team and with required teams/stakeholders to ensure all are tracking to their targets Responsible for the governance and reporting activities relating to the upcoming 180-days contract expiry list within the Indirect Procurement team,working with Category Managers to ensure commercial outcomes Responsible for supporting and monitoring contract management and contract compliance activities within Indirect Procurement Assist with Procurement support and improvement activities and initiatives as deemed required by the Indirect Procurement leadership team to support the achievement of Indirect Procurement's objectives Your story so far You have experience with collating, analysing, manipulating and interpreting large volumes of complex spend and data sets from multiple sources. You adeptly transform this information into visually appealing, precise, and purposeful reports that provide actionable insights for the Indirect Procurement team. Prior experience in a comparable role such as Procurement Analyst, Financial Analyst, or Commercial Analyst is preferred. As a driven self-starter, you exhibit strong skills in problem-solving, time management, interpersonal relations, and project management with excellent attention to detail. You are able to work autonomously but also know when to seek for support at the right time with the ability to manage workload effectively in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities. You also have a continuous improvement mindset, and are someone who takes pride in their work with demonstrated ability to consistently complete tasks attentively and thoroughly, to the highest quality. Skills Sound Analytical and Financial/Commercial modelling skills. Must have prior experience with manipulation of large volumes of spend and data sets Experience with production of visually attractive and informative reports to support the Indirect Procurement team with the various Procurement activities Knowledge to design, construct and maintain clear, accurate and detailed analytical spend reports and dashboards Advanced Proficiency in Microsoft Excel Pivot tables, lookups, and macro programming Experience with PowerBi desirable Ability to Interpret financial data to recognise changing trends, patterns, and their meaning related to key performance indicators and thinking through solutions Excellent verbal and written communication skills Sound commercial acumen. Ability to identify and assess data and insights with the ability to extract and summarise key information for decision-making Relevant experience in service or financial -based organisations or other fast paced businesses Relevant tertiary/diploma qualifications in Economics, Finance, Data/Analytics or equivalent experience We are here to support you We offer a range of benefits to help provide holistic support for your work life, whatever your circumstances.
