Primary Details Time Type: Full time Worker Type: Employee Senior Compliance Manager (Projects), Technical Compliance The opportunity Join a high-performing, dynamic team Sydney, New South Wales Permanent, Full-Time Applications Close - Tuesday 13th February Your new role The role of a Senior Compliance Manager (Projects), Technical Compliance at QBE AUSPAC is a crucial and multifaceted position within the company's compliance team. As a senior member of the Technical Compliance team, this role is responsible for working alongside the GM of Technical Compliance, and the Head of Technical Compliance in developing, leading and driving the implementation of AUSPAC's Compliance Risk Management Framework within the business. The role will act as a key compliance adviser on modernisation projects and initiatives, and will play a lead role in strengthening AUSPAC's compliance risk culture. Additional Responsibilities: Work closely with the Head of Technical Compliance to lead and inspire the business to achieve compliance by design by incorporating best practice compliance risk management controls into business processes Partner with the business to advise on and provide direction in the management of compliance risk in the modernisation projects and initiatives Collaborate with the GM of Technical Compliance to contribute in the development of the Technical Compliance team's strategic direction, vision, roadmap, and priorities Ensure effective communication and dissemination of the compliance strategy, policies, and processes to relevant stakeholders Review and enhance the compliance risk management framework, policies, and related procedures, serving as a guide for the business in managing compliance Influence key stakeholders to ensure that compliance risk is effectively managed during business changes Provide input into the Compliance and Regulatory reports and updates for AUSPAC and Group board and committees Assist in the maintenance of the obligations register, including periodically uploading, reviewing and improving the drafting of obligations Actively coach and develop junior team members About you Your story as a Senior Compliance Manager should reflect the following key qualities and experiences: You will demonstrate strong people leadership capabilities. Meeting deadlines is a critical aspect of your work. Your effective time management skills ensure that compliance monitoring activities are carried out promptly and reports are delivered on time. This ability to manage time and resources efficiently is key to your success in the role. Your ability to influence is a defining trait. You have a knack for persuading and guiding business units towards compliance by design. Your insights and recommendations have a significant impact on the organization's approach to compliance and risk management. Your deep regulatory understanding is a cornerstone of your success. You possess a comprehensive knowledge of the regulatory landscape in the financial services and insurance industry. This expertise allows you to navigate complex regulations and provide valuable insights to the organization. You will be able to demonstrate experience in designing, implementing and overseeing compliance frameworks within the financial services industry and strong experience in providing compliance advice to the business at a senior level.
