The opportunity
Our Audit Managers are responsible for supervising and completing audit assignments and will be the final reviewer prior to the Director review and sign off. This role will manage a team of people and work flow to ensure that work is allocated and reviewed effectively, and that team members are supported and developed appropriately.

With a team of 50 staff and 8 partners, Nexia's Audit & Assurance team are dynamic and are leading the way for the future of accounting. The successful candidate will be joining a team culture where open conversations, a desire to learn and develop will ensure a great future and career at Nexia.

Salary range starting from $120,000 inclusive of superannuation.

About you
To be successful in this role you will require:
minimum 6 years’ external auditing experience within an accountancy firm;
completed a related degree in accounting and further study (e.g. CA);
expert professional and technical skills required to demonstrate a good application of audit approach;
excellent understanding of accounting standards and reporting responsibilities, with the ability to pass this knowledge onto others;
expert in technical issues such as changes to legislation and/or its application, changes in reporting requirements, etc.;
advanced knowledge of Word, Excel, APS and audit systems (Caseware preferred);
a high standard of appearance and approach in dealing with clients;
ability to build long lasting relationships with potential and current clients;
excellent negotiation skills, with the ability to challenge ideas; and
good time management skills and ability to maximise productivity of own time.
