Main Duties and Responsibilities:
Provision of individual therapy for clients dealing with a range of mental health issues
Assessments
Report writing in relation to assessments, Medicare and NDIS requirements
Management client load, and case notes
Need to be willing to contribute/participate in group therapy programs
Ongoing liaison with our client's management team
Participation in team and peer supervision meetings
Essential Selection Criteria:
Full registration as a Psychologist
Demonstrated skill and experience in counselling and case management of clients across the lifespan
Understanding and skill to provide evidenced-based psychological interventions
Ability to effectively engage, establish rapport and retain clients
Strong record management, report and case note taking skills
Ability to manage caseload independently but collaboratively in team environment
Strong ethical principles and values
Tertiary qualifications in Psychology with current registration with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA) or AASW
Possess the ability to provide counselling, and offer knowledge of therapeutic interventions, to children, young people and parents who present with issues related to mental health, trauma, behavioural issues, as well as general wellbeing;
Experience in completing risk assessments and mental health assessments
Compliance – AHPRA registration, Working with Children Check, National Police Check, NDIS workers screening check, Covid-19 vaccination certificate, First Aid Training, Driver’s License & Vehicle.
