Primary Care Support Team, as part of the Community Assessment and Response Directorate offers a variety of programs that assist individuals to manage chronic health conditions, covering Greater Dandenong and Cardinia Casey areas, focusing on the assessment and delivery of client focused care.
The team consists of Psychologists, Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, Social Workers, Podiatrists, Allied Health Assistants, Care Coordinators, Community Development Workers, Counsellors, Diabetes Nurse Educators, Dietitians, and Exercise Physiologists. The team is committed to working with communities, families and individuals who have poor health outcomes and to providing high quality, multidisciplinary programs which embrace client centred care, evidence based practice and the Social Model of Health.
You will be part of the wider Monash Health Community service, with access to all the benefits that offers: professional development, broad and specialised clinical experience. This role is well supported by the wider Multidisciplinary team but offering autonomy and flexibility in your work.
We are looking for a Grade 2 Psychologist, 1EFT (full time), to join our team on ongoing basis.
A Day in the Life:
Drawing upon professional expertise in community practice, this role provides assessment and intervention to our clients. You’ll work closely with the Primary Care Support program to provide best practice client care, achieve maximal operational effectiveness, develop organisational competencies, and create strong partnerships both within and outside of Monash Health.
What you need (italics indicate desirable):
Current full general registration as a psychologist with the Australian Health Professionals Regulation Authority (AHPRA)
Provisional psychologists who have completed all psychology clinical placements and are close to obtaining full registration may be considered at a P1 level
Appropriate post-graduate qualifications (Masters or Doctoral Degree) in clinical, health, or counselling with an Australian Psychology Accreditation Council (APAC) accredited course
Specialist endorsement with AHPRA or eligibility to work toward obtaining endorsement through undertaking the Registrar program
Experience working in community settings
