This opportunity is well suited but not limited to; a high school graduate looking for a career path in the Electronics sector.


Programmed Training Services, in partnership with IMDEX is looking for a driven and motivated Electronics Trainee who will be supported in their study towards a Certificate III in Process Manufacturing working with IMDEXs Electronics Technicians.


The team works in a world class facility based in Balcatta and assemble our market leading tools and equipment that support the growing mining industry. This is a 12-month fulltime paid Traineeship; it is highly likely a company permanent role will be offered at the completion of the traineeship.



Who we're looking for:


It's important you have a great attitude and strong work ethic and you're willing to learn and develop your skills over this 12-month traineeship program split between hands-on practical experience in the workshop and theory classroom studies.


You will be willing to work as part of an experienced team, under close supervision and in time, independently.




Have excellent communication, literacy and numeracy skills
Have great attention to detail and good problem-solving skills
Demonstrate basic knowledge and understanding of relevant workplace health and safety requirements





Skills and Experience:




Strong commitment to safety and driven work ethic
Completion of Secondary Schooling (Minimum)
A current WA driver's licence and own transport
The ability to pass a pre-employment medical and regular drug & alcohol screening test.
Physically fit, prepared to work in a busy workshop environment





Tasks and Responsibilities:


Servicing of hand held tablets, cleaning, repairing and applying software
Fault finding on electronic tools using visual inspection, multimeters etc
Function testing and calibrating finished products and returned rental tools
Picking components for manufacturing work orders
Applying loctite to metal parts, using torque wrenches to torque joints.
Soldering battery cables to PCB'
Crimping wires
Using analysers to test battery condition
Using multimeters
Assembly of tools which will including flashing firmware and programming
Using pronto work orders for part consumption
