The primary responsibility of the CSA is to provide signed communication support to students who are Deaf and Hard of Hearing, facilitating language and communication access in Auslan (Australian Sign Language) and English. This support aims to assist students in accessing educational programs and school activities on the same basis as their peers. The position is school-based, and staff are required to support several students from P-12 located in various schools across the Australian Capital Territory (ACT).
