Join our team as a Psychiatric Enrolled Nurse on a full time or part time ongoing basis at our Aged Mental Health unit at Dandenong Hospital.
About Us
Unit 3 is a 20 bedded aged acute unit based at the Dandenong Hospital. The inpatient facility provides acute care and treatment and intervention for older people with mental illness and behaviours associated with dementia and cannot be managed either in their homes or in aged care. Unit 3 offers a multidisciplinary and a holistic approach to the caring, treatment interventions, and support of those patients who are most vulnerable. The team is composed of, Consultant Psychiatrists, Psychiatric Registrars, Neuro and Clinical Psychology, Registered Psychiatric Nurses, Psychiatric Enrolled Nurses, Social Work, Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapist and Psychiatric Service Officer. The team takes pride in delivering a comprehensive model of care that integrates both physical and mental health aspects
About the Role
Your day will include assessment, implementation and evaluation of care within an aged mental health inpatient setting
Provide a holistic approach to our patients by adopting a recovery focused approach.
Collaborating with family and carers to support their loved ones.
Feel supported in a cohesive, collaborative and innovative team
About You
You enjoy working as part of a multidisciplinary team within a specialty mental health
You are enthusiastic and keen to grow in a supportive and rewarding environment.
You have a valid AHPRA registration with experience working in a bed based service for a minimum of 12 months.
What you need:
Qualification as a registered psychiatric nurse
Registration with AHPRA ( Australian Nursing and Midwifery Board)
One year experience within a psychiatric inpatient unit/ bed based service
