Darley Heights Pty Ltd We are seeking an experienced Facilities Manager with a hard services background, to join our team in a full-time position. This role will see you manage a portfolio of apartments for various clients, as well as managing contractors to make sure that they are delivering on time and within budget. Maintain the physical environment of the site & continually monitor Health & Safety standards, managing any issues where necessary. Coordinate and supervise contractors for the facility maintenance projects to include, but not limited to, plumbing, electrical, painting, tree aborist, Fire Brigade, cleaning, gardener etc. Budget Assistance: To assist the Board of Directors in maintaining cost-effectiveness with all contractors engaged, along with the inspection & signing off on completed contractual work with a Board Member. Monitor expenditures and implement cost-saving measures where possible. As required, organise quotes and raise purchase orders for equipment or other requirements. Safety and Compliance: Ensure the site meets safety and regulatory standards. Monitor people movement workflows, to ensure all facilities have a clear and appropriate pathway for people to move around easily, and ensure appropriate OHS measures are adhered to, such as making sure emergency exists are not blocked. Security – Ensure systems are in place and are followed to secure premises. Report to & liaise with the Board of Directors any material issues affecting the safe use of facilities under management. Reporting and Documentation: Maintain accurate records of the facility operations, maintenance, and expenditures. Abilities/Attributes: Ability to work effectively under pressure, and carry out the Work Schedule as required, along with cooperating with the requests of the Board of Directors. Ability to prioritise workload to ensure effective management of deadlines. Excellent customer service skills, including the ability to effectively communicate with the Board of Directors, contractors etc., and deal with technical issues. Strong problem solving and analytical skills. Hours of work This is a full-time ongoing role, where the incumbent will be expected to work at least 38 hours per week. Qualification & Experience Minimum of 2 years' experience in a facilities management position. Strong organisational and computer skills Strong verbal and written communication skills. Strong knowledge of safe work practices. Must have a valid Australian Driving License. Willing to work outside of normal operating hours, including weekends, as required. About Company Darley Heights Pty Ltd consists of owner /shareholders residing in the residential apartment tower known as ‘Darley Heights’. The tower is a thirteen-storey building, consisting of forty apartments, and between seventy to eighty permanent residents.
