Salary: $70,000 - $75,000 plus 11% superannuation
Our client, Zam Zam Petroleum Pty Ltd. T/A BP Lights on the Hill, operates a Cafe & Restaurant in Hughenden QLD. The venue is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner and provides dine in food services with seating for customers.
The restaurant takes pride in its ability to deliver quality food and is a highly regarded venue for both its food and welcoming hospitality in a vibrant atmosphere.
The employer is looking for experienced and motivated person who is qualified as a Restaurant Manager . Your challenge will be to uphold guest expectations, employee requirements and profitability.
The employer is looking for an experienced and motivated person who is qualified as a Restaurant Manager and is capable of serving a high volume of customers. This is a unique opportunity to grow within the business.
You will be responsible for all daily operations of the restaurant inclusive of financial reporting, compliance, staff training, maintaining and creating exceptional customer relationships and being a true professional and face of the business.
In this role your main responsibilities include:
• Planning menus in consultation with kitchen staff
• Maintaining effective management procedures to continue appropriate high levels of customer service
• Follow management procedures to effectively maintain cost budget percentage
• Maximising profitability whilst maintaining exceptional standards of quality and service
• Optimising the potential and performance of the team to consistently deliver the expected results and ensure an exceptional dining experience is delivered
• Ensuring dining facilities comply with health regulations and are clean, functional and of suitable appearance
• Selecting, training and supervising waiting and kitchen staff
• Oversee profit & loss, budgets, and KPIs
• Nurture and develop the potential of team members
• Build and strengthen relationships with existing and new customers, anticipating their needs and enabling future bookings
The successful candidate will have a passion for the hospitality industry, be career focused and have strong leadership qualities.
Other key skills and experience will include:
• Relevant qualification at the level of an Australian Qualifications Framework equivalent Diploma or higher AND at least 2 years of relevant work experience.
• At least three years of relevant experience may substitute for the formal qualifications
• Proficient in English with good communication skills and team management skills.
• Demonstrated experience in customer service management.
• Sound knowledge and business and administrative practices
• ability to multitask
• excellent time management skills
• Ability to lead and train team
• Driven to achieve business goals in an efficient and effective manner
You must be a quick learner who is also reliable, creative, organized, hard-working and well-mannered. Our client is looking for a hands-on manager that will lead from the front.
