Salary: $85,000 plus 11% superannuation

The company comprises of multi-talented software professionals having tremendous passion for building end to end business solutions on latest technologies. Company support organisation with a complete range of IT services tailored for the NFP sector – from asset procurement through to projects, service desk, cloud, planning and strategic advice.
The client is looking for someone in a full-time permanent role who is passionate to learn new technologies and adapt quickly. The Computer Network and System Engineer will help design best-fit IT solutions and take complete end-to-end implementation responsibility. In this customer service driven role, you will be required to take ownership of customer queries and ensure they are resolved in a timely and professional manner.
Minimum Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree or higher qualification in IT with at least 3 years’ experience in similar role. At least five years of relevant experience and/or relevant vendor certification may substitute for the formal qualification.
What you will be responsible for:
• Analysing and interpreting complex system design
• Delivering and documenting customer projects
• Installing and configuring new software database servers
• Providing network programming in support of specific business needs and requirements
• Supporting customers with a wide variety of platforms and technologies
• Building and configuring desktops, servers and storage networking hardware
• Installing, configuring, testing, maintaining and administering new and upgraded networks, software database applications, servers and workstations
• Ensuring overall operational readiness of network systems
• Joint development of concepts and specifications
• Assessing and recommending improvements to network operations and integrated hardware, software, communications and operating systems
• Analysis of monitoring events, proactive identification of performance bottlenecks and taking measures to optimize operations
• Preparing and maintaining procedures and documentation for network inventory
• Recording diagnosis and resolution of network faults, enhancements and modifications to networks, and maintenance instructions
Skills and Experience:
• Must have experience working in a managed service environment
• Demonstrated experience in IT networks and data centres
• Understanding of systems and architectures to meet client needs
• Demonstrated ability to deliver in a rapidly evolving technical environment
• Knowledge of cloud technologies
• Understanding of Network technology and Networking principles (e.g., VLAN’s, Subnetting, Firewalls, Proxies etc)
• Understanding of Active Directory, Virtual technologies, DHCP, PXE, Anti-Virus, MS Office, OpenVPN etc.
• Excellent communication skills with staff, clients, and partners
• Time management, ability to prioritise and deliver to schedule
