While our client. Bedcorp (West-Trans) business is expanding, we have multiple positions opening up which need to be filled to keep up with demand. The role of the fitter is to install truck bodies and lifting equipment (skip loaders, hook lifts, truck cranes, and flat trays), onto cab chassis.
Just Automotive Recruitment is assisting in the search for skilled Fitter Generals to join the team. You are expected to maintain diesel equipment operation by completing inspections and preventive maintenance requirements.
5 full-time positions are available
$65,000-$90,000 PA depending on experience
Location: New South Wales
Critical Responsibilities:
? Workshop repairs and maintenance
? New machine pre-delivery preparation and inspection
? Customer satisfaction
? Safety / Quality
? Cross-functional support
Main Responsibilities:
Fault finding, repairs and services including but not limited to:
? Diesel and petrol engines
? Diesel, petrol and LPG fuel systems
? Steering systems
? Transmissions – hydrostatic, powershift and manual
? Brake systems
? Hydraulic valves and cylinders
? Electrical starting, charging and accessories
? Service and diagnostic repairs
? Liaise with spare parts team to determine parts required for repairs
? To complete repair and services within reasonable time frames
? To process workshop service/repair documentation on a daily basis
? Work in a safe manner, use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) provided and comply with requirements of the current Occupational Safety and Health (OS&H) legislation
? Other duties as directed

- Self-motivated
- Good technical background experience
- Hard worker, practical personality
- Solid analysing and problem-solving skills to troubleshoot technical problems
