Happy Hippo Kindergarten and Childcare is a family owned and operated business, serving three learning communities
throughout Melbourne, locations including Annadale, Brunswick and Lovely Banks. Each service offers state-of-the-art facilities
with Early Education underpinning our curriculum. We implement an innovative and inclusive quality care program,
based on the Happy Hippo Childcare philosophy and in accordance with the National and Victorian Early Years Learning Frameworks and the National Quality Standard.
Children of all age groups have access to our programs such as cooking, gardening, language, sports and much more.
Positions to join our team as Childcare Workers or Childcare Group Leaders have become available.

Job Title: Childcare Workers or Childcare Group Leaders

Responsibilities:
1. Assist in preparing materials and equipment for children's education and recreational activities.
2. Create and maintain a fun, safe, healthy, productive, and effective learning environment.
3. Develop and implement the educational program to help children achieve quality learning outcomes.
4. Prepare and conduct engaging activities for children, including cooking, gardening, language, sports, etc.
5. Entertain children through reading and playing games.
6. Monitor and assess the learning progress and well-being of children accurately and thoroughly.
7. Assist with daily administrative and housekeeping tasks.
8. Build and maintain excellent relationships with children, families, and staff.
9. Manage children's behaviour and guide their social development.
10. Supervise children during recreational activities and daily routines.
11. Ensure the hygiene and safety of children.
12. Administer medication to children safely and accurately.
13. Ensure compliance with routines, policies, processes, and practices.
14. Maintain a clean and safe facility, adhering to OH&S and other regulations.

Skills:
1. Good knowledge of the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and National Quality Standard (NQS).
2. Comfortable communicating with families and staff.

Qualifications:
• Suitable certification or relevant experience in childcare or early childhood education.

Experience:
• At least 3 years of experience in a similar childcare environment.

Salary $60 - $80 pa
