Located at 530 Hampton Street, VIC 3188, our restaurant is an ideal destination for anyone who loves good food, wonderful service, and a comfortable atmosphere. We are seeking for a passionate and enthusiastic Front of House Manager/ Restaurant Manager at our Hampton shop to play a crucial role in maintaining the operations of our restaurant. The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership and a deep understanding of how to manage a restaurant to provide the best customer service.
OKAMI Japanese Restaurant is a pioneer in bringing Japanese ­style All You Can Eat into Australia. Every dish at OKAMI is freshly made to order from the menu with 30+ options. Combined with the cozy atmosphere, this makes OKAMI an essentially family and group-gathering-friendly venue.
As a restaurant manager, your may fulfil the responsibilities which include staff management, customer service, financial management, menu development and inventory and supplies, health and safety and operational efficiency. The primary job responsibilities are as follows:
• Answer business phone calls during the daytime and arrange reservations.
• Work closely with management to meet revenue objectives.
• Follow company policies and procedures.
• Possessed requisite skills and technical ability to accomplish job responsibilities.
• Deliver superior service and maximize customer satisfaction.
· Resolve customer complaints and manage the restaurant's good image and suggest ways to improve it.
• Train new and current employees on proper customer service practices
· Maintain OKAMI FOH daily opening operation, and closing routine standards.
• Review food and beverage quality during the operation
• Check if receive the proper product
(supplier,· Coles & Dan Murphy) every time. If receive the incorrect product, report it to management in a timely manner.
• Coordinate daily Front of House and Back of House restaurant operations.
• Respond efficiently and accurately to customer complaints.
• Organize and supervise shifts.
• Appraise staff performance and provide feedback to improve productivity.
• Ensure compliance with sanitation and safety regulations.
• Control operational costs and identify measures to cut waste.
• Promote the brand in the local community through word-of-mouth and restaurant events.· Implement policies and protocols that will maintain future restaurant operations.
• Report any faults or damage issues from the restaurant on time (including equipment, fit out, electric, gas, etc.)
Qualifications, Experience and Skills:
-At least a Diploma or high qualification in a relevant field; or
-At least 2 years of practical working experience in a highly similar position in a Japanese cuisine setting
-Able to prioritize tasks and possess time­ management abilities
-Team player with strong communicational and interpersonal skills -Excellent leadership skills and responsibility
Remuneration: For this role, we are offering a salary of $73,000-$ 81,000 superannuation.

• Evening shift
• Shift work
• Weekend availability
