Job Description:
AI Talent is on the lookout for a Business Analyst to join our team. As a Business Analyst, you will work with users to formulate system requirements, develop system plans and documentation, review and evaluate existing systems, and design and modify systems to meet users’ business needs.
Responsibilities:
• Identify and analyse business processes, procedures, and work practices and collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders to gather and document business requirements.
• Create user and training documentation and conduct formal training sessions to ensure user proficiency and develop functional specifications for use by system developers.
• Gather and analyse business and technical requirements, translating them into Epics and User Stories to align systems, processes, and technology with the project's objectives.
• Capture business processes and systems interactions using UML diagrams such as use case, activity, and sequence diagrams.
• Collaborate with IT departments in coordinating changes to ICT systems, as well as strategise and direct projects by handling budgets and resources to facilitate company objectives.
• Conduct gap analysis and process improvement assessments to identify opportunities for optimisation.
• Provide support and guidance throughout the project lifecycle and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the organisation.
• Perform impact analysis to assess the potential impact of new features on existing functionalities and maintain a strong understanding of the Agile development methodology.
• Manage solution releases to meet the business requirements, achieving stakeholder objectives and ensuring satisfaction.
• Participate in user acceptance testing (UAT) and ensure that developed applications meet user needs.
• Monitor and evaluate the performance of current ICT systems and recommend changes to reduce risks within the process, people, systems, and information tiers.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems specialised in Business Analytics
• Minimum 2 years of full-time experience working as a Business Analyst
• Experienced writing detailed, clear and consistent functional requirement specifications using epics and user stories
• Demonstrate ability to prioritize business requirements
• Hands on experience creating systems specifications using UMLs
• Experienced working with REST APIs
• Strong understanding of databases and ability to write SQL queries
• Knowledge of backend and frontend technologies
• Knowledge and understanding of responsive designs and systems
• Strong understanding of client-server architecture
• Experienced working in Agile – Scrum development methodology
• Hands-on experience of using JIRA, Confluence and Azure DevOps
• Demonstrated ability to take ownership of tasks and work in a dynamic team environment
• Superior communication skills (verbal and non-verbal)
• Expertise in using MS Visio to create Business Process Modelling
