DUTIES
• Preparing, cooking, and serving food as per the restaurant’s recipes and standards.
• Assisting Head Chef with creating menu, recipe cards, functions menu, seasonal menus.
• Creating specials when possible.
• Preparing foods as per the dietary requirement of clients.
• Maintaining quality and consistency of dishes at all stages of preparation and presentation.
• Adhere to all food safety and hygiene regulations.
• Ordering stock from suppliers and stock maintenance with stock rotation and temperature maintenance.
• Organising events and functions.
• Co-coordinating with front of house and other departments whenever needed.
• Reporting to Managers and Head Chef as needed.
• Maintainaence of cleanliness and enforcing hygiene regulations.
• Rostering and training staff.
• Food storing using different techniques and methods.
REQUIRED SKILLS
Cert IV in commercial cookery
Min. 2 years of experience as a chef
Experience in Nepalese Cuisine is preferred but not essential.
Local chefs are highly encouraged to apply.
