About the role:
As a Metal Machinist, you will be a champion in patience, persistence and tolerance. You will be a trained tradesperson with the skills and knowledge to create tools, parts and objects by operating milling and drilling machines, and conventional lathes. The successful candidate will uphold the following knowledge and skills:
Positive approach to workplace safety
Perform routine machine maintenance and repair minor damages
Check output to ensure consistency with specifications
Maintains a safe and clean workstation
Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related tasks as needed
Basic Computer skills

You will bring demonstrated success and enthusiasm in providing exceptional machining experience to ensure a quality product for customers.
The successful candidate must demonstrate:
Technical, mechanical background preferred but not desired
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Strong presentation skills and professional appearance
Strong organisational skills
Willingness to be flexible and adaptable
Attention to detail
Additionally, you will be;
Mechanical aptitude for workshop duties
Have a strong interest in metal work and manufacturing
A work ethic which includes a willingness to learn and undertake professional development activities including on the job training and training with professional associations
Good verbal and written communication skills
Ability to juggle competing demands, ensuring that deadlines are met
Ability to work cooperatively and respectfully with others from various backgrounds and cultures
Flexible and adaptable with ability to problem solve and multi-task
Strong organisation skills, with ability to prioritise and follow through
