The occupant of this position is a member of the Operational Technology and Engineering (OT&E) Section. The role of the OT&E Section is to ensure the development, delivery and operation of measurement equipment and systems meet the Bureau's performance and functional requirements. This includes the following sensors/networks:
Radar and Wind Profilers
Automatic Weather Stations
Solar Radiation
Upper Air
Flood Warning
Sea Level
Aircraft Based Observations
Operational Technology and Engineering is made up of a diverse team of specialists and engineers responsible for the development and design of engineering and technological solutions, incorporating level three support, on a range of technologies spanning from radars to rainfall stations, drifting buoys to dedicated observations and satellites to ships at sea to meet business needs.
