The Role
An opportunity has become available for a Senior Mortuary Interviewing Officer to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our 12 000-strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia.
You will
Co-ordinate the issue of death certificates by medical staff, ensuring compliance
Provide a daily list of all deceased registered in mortuaries to the Clinical Governance Mortality Review Officer and any other stakeholders for screening
Scan the Cause of Death Certificate, Coroners authorised Cause of Death Certificates and other authorised Forms into the Electronic Medical Record in a timely manner
Co-ordinate with the senior available next-of-kin the timely release of the deceased to an authorised funeral director
