The focus of this role is to ensure best practice maintenance and engineering systems and strategies are adopted across Paper at Maryvale that supports the business strategic direction. To deliver ongoing improvement in plant and equipment reliability through the implementation of the strategic maintenance delivery plan and the reduction in the total cost of maintenance.

You will be responsible for the following:

Develop, implement and manage assigned centralised maintenance budgets to agreed targets.
Ensure compliance to all statutory requirements and engineering standards related to the assets and performance of maintenance and reliability work.
Protect company assets through the proactive use of Risk Control strategies and effective maintenance effort.
Provide engineering and reliability expertise in maintaining Maryvale Mill’s equipment.
Implement improvement projects (PMO’s) to planned timelines, milestones and project deliverables.
Manage effective communication across Maryvale Mill, including Engineering, Production and other relevant areas in setting maintenance priorities to meet operational requirements.
Actively promote safe behaviour, ensuring a safe working environment is maintained in compliance with the requirements of the Health and Safety in Employment Act and company policy.

Specifically for this role you will have;

Broad understanding of all engineering disciplines used in Maintenance/Production (Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, Chemical, Civil).
Statutory Requirements and Australian Standards for Asset Management (Includes Electrical, Mechanical, Civil & MHF).
Preventive / Predictive Maintenance Knowledge.
Strong knowledge of statutory requirements for Asset Management.
Have strong problem-solving skills as demonstrated by your ability to conduct root cause analyses and logically examine complex information to make an accurate judgement and formulate clear recommendations.
Pulp and Paper Manufacturing Processes, or transferrable knowledge from similar large scale complex chemical plants.
