What’s on offer?

We are seeking a positive, driven and experienced Mechanical Engineer to join our growing Engineering team, with a focus on quality.

Reporting to the Quality Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the necessary standards and policies through implementation of inspections, modification, quality control systems, testing, modification and maintenance and identifying of areas for improvement across the business.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement, address quality issues, and contribute to building high-quality products that exceed customer expectations.

What you'll be doing:

Developing detailed inspection guidelines, standards, policies quality controls plans, testing and analysis procedures to ensure that products meet specifications and standards.

Determining quality metrics for all manufacturing procedures.

Monitoring the entire production cycle including workforce utilisation, factory layout, schedules and data alongside costs, and perform regular tests, to identify potential issues, inefficiencies or non-conformance as early as possible.

Inspecting and testing materials, equipment, processes, and products to ensure quality specifications are met and optimum performance is maintained.

Assessing maintenance of factory buildings and equipment and coordinating maintenance schedules
Collaborating with cross-functional teams to address quality issues and driving continuous improvement.
Identifying the root of technical issues and recommending solutions.

Preparing audit reports summarising quality issues and recommending corrective actions.

Establishing standards and policies and setting and tracking quality assurance goals.

What you bring:

Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or similar.

Previous work experience as a Mechanical Engineer with a focus on quality (manufacturing/automotive preferred).

A positive, collaborative approach, supported by outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.

The personal drive, adaptability and organisational skills.

Exceptional attention to detail.

Strong analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data, solve problems, and make data-driven decisions

Experience with quality management systems (AS9100 highly desireable) and in-depth understanding of technical documentation.
