Lucan Engineering Pty Ltd is specialised in servicing the local manufacturing industry as a producer of precision engineered components, for production machinery end users and project engineering companies, company is currently looking to recruit an experienced and qualified Fitter - Welder to join their team in Lidcombe NSW 2141.
- Reviewing and interpreting technical drawings and specifications to understand the dimensions, tolerances, and welding requirements for metal components.
- Using various welding techniques, such as arc welding, MIG welding, TIG welding, or oxy-acetylene welding, to join and fit metal parts accurately.
- Utilizing tools such as cutting torches, grinders, and other metalworking equipment to shape and prepare metal components for welding and assembly.
- Ensuring that welded components meet structural and safety standards, adhering to codes and regulations throughout the fabrication process.
- Conducting inspections and quality checks to verify that finished products meet specifications and quality standards before final assembly or installation.
- Following safety procedures and guidelines to minimize the risk of accidents
Skills and Abilities:
- at least 3 years’ experience as welder or mechanical fitter
- A certificate III in engineering mechanical trade or equivalent
- Ability to work in a team environment
Salary range is $70,000 to $85,000pa commensurate with skills and experience
