Regional Migration Australia We are seeking an experienced Dairy Cattle Farm Operator to undertake responsibilities associated with the daily operations of the farm. Working collaboratively within your team to achieve consistent compliance with guidelines and policy. Sponsorship options if required. Task & Responsibilities Responsibilities of this role will include: The operation of milking plant and equipment. The operation of standardised and specialist farm equipment (incl. tractors, front end loaders etc). Calving down, calf rearing and herd management, including the treatment and recording of issues, insemination, feeding out etc. General horticultural activities and crop management, including soil preparation, planting, fertilising, harvesting, fencing etc. Reading and recording instrument information (ie. VAT temperatures, cow numbers etc). Maintaining machinery and equipment, undertaking adjustments and reporting faults. Operating standard measuring equipment. Operating computerised systems. Undertaking sanitisation processes to company and legislative standards. Qualification & Experience The ideal candidates for these opportunities will have: An AQF Certificate II or III (or equivalent) OR a minimum of 1 year of recent and relevant work experience in lieu of the formal qualification. Experience in the various responsibilities listed above. An exceptional work ethic. A strong focus on safety and compliance. Demonstrable experience adhering to regulations, policy and procedure. Intermediate communication skills – both verbal and written and an empathetic nature. Ability to work well within a team environment, interacting respectfully at all times. Current drivers' license. Mobile plant operation tickets and/or experience preferred. Ability to take direction, whilst using your initiative and working autonomously where required also. A great attitude!
