The Role
The intermediate accountant role reports to the Senior Accountant, Client Manager and Principal. The role involves a combination of traditional compliance and general consulting/advisory work as required. Specific tasks include:
• Supporting senior staff with a wide variety of challenging and rewarding consulting work as and when required;
• Financial statement preparation for companies, trusts, partnerships and self-managed superannuation funds;
• Income tax return preparation for individuals, companies, trusts, partnerships and self-managed superannuation funds;
• Periodic activity statement preparation;
• Workflow and billing management;
• Extensive use of Xero and BGL software.
Essential Requirements
• Minimum 2+ years local business services experience;
• Bachelor of Business, Commerce or Accounting degree;
• Part-qualified CA or willing to commence;
• Advanced knowledge of Excel, MS Word and Outlook;
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
• High attention to detail and accuracy.
