The role The Communicable Disease Control (CDC) Team in Townsville Public Health Unit (TPHU) is focused on surveillance, prevention and control of important infectious diseases and outbreaks, and ensuring children and adults are vaccinated.
This position provides an opportunity to learn all aspects of CDC including vaccination support services. Within that, this role will help establish models to promote community awareness and care in childhood skin health; and primary and primordial prevention of Group A streptococcus infections and rheumatic fever in First Nations people, including Palm Island.
