BS Australia’s Southern Division, headquartered in Melbourne, has the largest multi-species processing facility in Australia, processing beef, sheep, and goats. JBS Southern processing facilities have access to all major international markets, providing our livestock suppliers with a range of markets and brand opportunities.
Located 3 hours north of Melbourne, the Cobram Plant is located on the banks of the Murray River. This location offers a relaxed lifestyle, providing great facilities for employees and their families.
The Cobram Plant specialises in processing sheep and goats and has the ability to handle over 4,000 head per day, operating five days per week. Growing to employ over 350 employees, the Cobram Plant offers excellent career opportunities across many aspects of meat processing.
About the Role
Our Cobram Plant currently has a number of opportunities for Skilled Meat Workers (Boners, Slicers, Slaughter Persons) to join our team. This is a unique opportunity to join a global organisation with a local community feel.
Positions are full time with the annual salary higher than $63,000 plus superannuation (commensurate with experience and skill levels applied) or more with additional overtime.
About You
Previous experience (ideally 2-3 years) in Boning, Slicing or Slaughtering duties required
Relevant qualification (Cert II/ III Meat Processing) advantageous but not essential
Proven high level of knife sharpening skills
Knowledge and understanding of Quality Requirements
Ability to work within a team environment with the ability to take direction
Good communication skills
Demonstrated integrity and good presentation
A professional work attitude
Ability to work in a fast paced environment
Superior attendance
