The Support Coordinator plays a crucial role in navigating clients through the intricacies of the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS). This position focuses on enhancing clients' ability to manage their disabilities through tailored support plans, fostering greater community participation and overall well-being. You will work to empower clients by connecting them with essential services and advocating for their rights and needs.

Responsibilities and Duties:
Coordinate and manage the implementation of NDIS plans for participants.
Build strong relationships with clients, their families, and service providers to facilitate effective support.
Act as a liaison with the NDIS and other organizations, ensuring clients' needs are adequately represented and met.
Provide informed consultations on NDIS processes and alternative support options.
Monitor and manage the expenditure of participants' NDIS plans.
Maintain detailed records and prepare reports on advocacy activities and outcomes.
Promote inclusivity and support participants in achieving their personal goals.

Qualifications, Experience, and Skills:
Preferred: Diploma or degree in Social Work, Disability Studies, Human Services, or a related field.
Experience in disability advocacy, social services, or a similar field is highly desirable.
Essential knowledge of NDIS framework, legislation, and procedures.
Drivers License, NDIS Workers Screening & Blue Card
Strong communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
High level of administrative competence and proficiency in relevant computer applications.
Must be empathetic, non-judgmental, and possess a strong customer focus.

Location of Work:
The position is based in Goodna, QLD 4300, Australia. Your clients are located all over SE Qld.

Hours of Work:
The working hours for this role are from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday through Friday. This schedule includes a 30-minute break each day, aligning with typical full-time work hours, ensuring a balance between professional responsibilities and personal time.

Remuneration:
The remuneration for this role is paid weekly and will be determined based on the candidate's experience. While the exact figures are to be confirmed (TBC), they will reflect the qualifications, skills, and experience the candidate brings to the role, as well as industry standards for similar positions in the sector.
