We are seeking a qualified Accountant to join our dedicated team at 17 Pursue Way, Pakenham, VIC 3810.
Role Overview:
You are responsible for assisting in the formulation of budgetary and accounting policies, preparing financial statements for presentation to boards of directors, management, and statutory bodies, examining operating costs and organisations' income and expenditure and providing assurance about the accuracy of information contained in financial reports and their compliance with statutory requirements.
You also are responsible for liaising with financial institutions and brokers to establish funds management arrangements appraise cash flow and financial risk of capital investment projects, preparing taxation returns for organisation and introducing and maintaining accounting systems, and advising on the selection and application of computer-based accounting systems as well as maintaining internal control systems.
To be successful in this role, you also must have excellent customer service and people skills, as well as the ability to multitask and work effectively as part of a team.
Your Skills & Experience
To be successful in the role of Accountant, you will have a high level of attention to detail and will possess:
• A degree in accounting with a specialisation in financial accounting
• Minimum 2 years of relevant work experience
• Proven ability to meet critical deadlines.
• Ability to impart knowledge of systems, procedures and policies to support staff.
• Full working knowledge of Excel and experience with a database accounting software package.
• Satisfactory completion of a National Criminal History Check; and
• Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
Benefits
We offer a competitive remuneration package, including an annual salary of AU$ 75,000 plus superannuation, for a full-time permanent position comprising 38 hours per week.
