Our client is seeking an experienced Civil Engineering Draftsperson to join their team.
Position Objective
To effectively and efficiently create detailed technical drawings based on given specifications and
calculations
Principal Duties
Preparation of engineering models, calculations, drawings, designs, reports, and specifications
that are fit for purpose, practical, cost-effective, comply with relevant design and regulatory
standards and comply with WHS and Quality Control requirements.
Undertake engineering design and project management tasks on projects, both in the office
and on-site.
Undertake site and inspection visits as required.
Proactively help plan, track, and run assigned projects and project tasks in terms of scope, time,
budget, and quality.
Following specifications and calculations to create various technical drawings.
Performing calculations for materials and weight limitations.
Communicating with architects and engineers, and incorporating knowledge gained into
drawings.
Preparing, reviewing, and redrafting alongside the engineering team.
Ensuring final designs are compliant with building regulations.
Identifying and communicating potential design problems to the rest of the team.
Conduct thorough self-checking and the checking of designs, information, drawings, and
documentation undertaken by others.
Ensure documentation and record keeping are kept up to date and in good order.
Perform any other task as reasonably directed by the Company.
Adopt continuous learning and improvement processes in all aspects of the position.
Ensure that all Company and Work Health & Safety (WHS) duties, policies, and processes are
adhered to.
Key Skills & Experience
Qualifications
University Engineering Degree or equivalent, recognized by Engineers Australia.
Workcover Site Induction Training Card.
Experience Required
At least 3 years of previous experience in drafting and project management.
Hands-on experience with computer-aided design (CAD) software
Familiarity with 3D modeling tools
Strong computer skills and knowledge in Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, and design software
Packages
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
Provide technical information and required drawings promptly
Provide exceptional customer service to internal and external customers (feedback and
satisfaction).
Ability to meet sufficient deadlines.
The preparation of accurate engineering designs, reports, and specifications that are fit for

Accuracy of data entry and information management.
