About Us: Hornby Transport Services is a leading transport company committed to providing reliable and efficient services to our clients. We are seeking a meticulous and experienced Payroll and Accounts Administrator to join our finance team. This role will primarily focus on payroll processing tasks with additional responsibilities in accounts administration. If you are detail-oriented, have a strong understanding of payroll procedures, possess basic accounting skills, and have or are working towards a Diploma in Accounting, we invite you to apply and contribute to the success of our growing company.

Key Responsibilities:

Payroll Processing:
Process accurate and timely payroll for all employees.
Calculate wages, overtime, and deductions within our payroll system, FoundU.
Address payroll inquiries and resolve discrepancies promptly.
Stay updated on payroll regulations and compliance requirements.

Accounts Administration:
Assist in accounts payable and accounts receivable functions when required.
Reconcile financial transactions and resolve discrepancies.
Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards.

Record Keeping:
Maintain organised and secure financial records.
Assist with audits and provide necessary documentation.
Ensure confidentiality and accuracy in record-keeping.
Communication:
Collaborate with internal departments to gather necessary information.
Provide excellent customer service to employees regarding payroll-related matters.
Qualifications:

Minimum of 3 years of experience in payroll processing and accounts administration. Experience with Road Transport awards is highly desirable but not essential.
Diploma in Accounting or currently working towards obtaining one.
Proficiency in payroll software, MYOB, Xero and MS Office Suite.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Knowledge of payroll laws, regulations, and best practices.
Basic understanding of accounting principles.
Excellent organisational and time-management skills.

Education:
Diploma in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
Relevant certifications (e.g., Certified Payroll Professional) are a plus.
