Loris H Hassall Trading Pty Ltd situated in Forbes, NSW produces salted hides, currently requires 17 hide/skin classer/grader’s within the Production department for Immediate start. This role is integral to the preservation & preparation of Bovine hides to grading & packing of the hide leather.
What the role requires:
Inspect and test green skins or hides, for size, cleanliness, colour, markings and quality, and sort into lots for fellmongering, drying, salting or tanning
Inspect and sort dried or salted skins for baling or tanning
Inspect hides or tanned skins for thickness, size and quality and sorts into lots for further tanning or despatch
Direct assistants in artificial drying, stacking, folding and baling
Direct assistants in the collection and laying out of hides, skins or leathers
Records information such as quantity and quality of hides
We are looking for Applicants who can:
Work Mon-Fri with some optional overtime Saturdays
Be available for varying work hours from 8 – 10hr days (start/finish times vary depending on department)
Be physically capable of manual labour
Willing to undertake a Pre-employment functional assessment and Drug & Alcohol Testing prior to starting
Be vaccinated for Q-Fever or willing to be.
What we can offer:
We offer the security of a Full-time position that pays above the current Manufacturing and Associated Industries and Occupations Award, starting of $55,683.68 per annum (this does not include overtime, bonus or allowances) Annual leave, sick leave and long service leave is also inclusive of the Full-time position as is superannuation.
Any external training requirements will be paid for by Hassall Trading Pty Ltd.
